The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an individual to fill a full-time faculty position in audiology or hearing science beginning August 2018. This post is open-rank, meaning tenure-track (Assistant Professor) or tenured (Associate or Full Professor). Responsibilities of the position include conducting research, teaching, advising undergraduate and graduate students, and participating in university and professional activities. All current and emerging areas in auditory perception will be considered including contemporary assessment and intervention paradigms and life span issues related to hearing impairment. Summer teaching associated with this 9-month position is available, but not guaranteed. The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is CAA accredited and offers BS, MA, AuD and PhD degrees.

An earned doctorate in audiology, hearing science or a related discipline is required; CCC-A is preferred. Clear evidence of an independent line of research is required; capacity for achieving extramural support and teaching experience is desirable.
