Position Summary:
Facilities Services. Two positions. The Grounds Keeper maintains a clean, pleasant and safe environment for students, faculty and staff by performing various grounds maintenance tasks utilizing hand, precision and power tools.

Essential Functions

  • Performs routine landscape maintenance tasks which include mowing grass, raking leaves, planting, and trimming and pruning shrubbery and trees.
  • Performs litter pickup throughout the University and in the parking lots.
  • Operates lawn maintenance equipment outdoors in extreme weather conditions.

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    One or more years of related work experience

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Ability to operate a University vehicle; effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

    Salary Range: $23,050 - $29,726
