Lynn is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences to teach in the University's four-year interdisciplinary core curriculum, The Dialogues of Learnings. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, this position requires the candidate to teach interdisciplinary courses in the two main thematic areas Belief and Reason, and Justice and Civic Life. The faculty member will actively contribute to the curriculum through course development and teaching. In addition, this position will involve academic advising, College and University service, as well as professional and scholarly contributions. Faculty at Lynn University integrate technology into the classroom and courses in the core curriculum are taught utilizing a multi-touch book and iPad.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach students in undergraduate programs
  • Teach the University's four-year interdisciplinary core curriculum, The Dialogues of Learning
  • Develop and review syllabi
  • Advise students within multiple majors
  • Collaborate with faculty on educational programs
  • Perform other departmental and University services
  • Contribute to the internal and external missions of Lynn University through committee membership and faculty development 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Masters and/or Doctorate degree in a discipline appropriate to the position. Preference may be given to candidates with interdisciplinary teaching experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
