Assistant/Associate Professor of Neurology - Tenure Track

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neurology with a focus on Dementia/Cognitive. Responsibilities include experience in the field of Neurology with completion of fellowship training in either Dementia or Cognitive Neurology and experience in the translational neuroscience of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders. Successful candidates should demonstrate a productive track record during fellowship or faculty positions with an ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary patient-oriented science. As a new faculty member, successful applicants will be expected to establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, and industry. Additional responsibilities will include clinical activity in the Division of Cognitive Neurology and the Penn Memory Center/Alzheimer’s Disease Core Center, as well as teaching within the Penn provider network and participation as an active member of Penn graduate programs based on his/her research focus. The successful applicant will join 8-9 other Cognitive Neurologists who provide care service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Hospital. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care.
