The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neurology with a focus on Neuroimmunology, including completion of research fellowship training in Neuroimmunology and experience in translational Neuroscience. Candidates should demonstrate a productive track record during fellowship or faculty positions with an ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary patient-oriented science. Responsibilities include establishing an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, and industry. Additional responsibilities will include clinical activity in the Division of Multiple Sclerosis and related disorders, as well as teaching within the Penn provider network and participation as an active member of Penn graduate programs based on his/her research focus. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care.
