IT Systems Sup Prof I

Job description

Provide support for hardware, operating systems, software and network connectivity for desktops, servers and network printers (particularly those related to KSU computer labs and smart classrooms); develop images of Windows desktop operating systems to be deployed across all labs on campus; deploy Microsoft Windows images to all supported labs; install/configure software packages for local and network installation on Microsoft Windows platform; edit group policies in Microsoft Active Directory.

This position will provide web page support; technical support to pc and mac along with
software support for desktop, laptops and mobile devices.

The candidate for this position will be familiar with web page design: Dreamweaver and/or

He/she will assist in technical planning, resource management for desktop
support, mobile technologies and lead projects to their completion.

She/he will insure that clients(s) computers operate within established departmental policy, maintain security
protocols and procedural guidelines, and main standards when required. The appropriate units
will be contacted in a timely manner when outstanding issues arise.

The candidate should be familiar with IE, Firefox, Mozilla, Safari, etc,; Anti-spyware and
Anti-Virus packages, Microsoft (Word, Excell, Access, and PowerPoint, 365) and Mac OS.

This position will be responsible for the installation of new computer equipment, assisting with
moving equipment, install peripherals, assisting with computer inventory and the surplus of

Ability to lift up to 10 lbs is essential. This person will re-image and prepare older computer equipment for re-installation.

The candidate should possess the following qualities: punctual, detailed oriented, responsible and accountable, excellent written communication skills with effective time management skills.

The candidate will have the ability to work independently and within a team environment along with establishing and maintaining an effective working relationships with faculty and staff.

Minimum Hiring Salary:$34,000 (based on 40 hrs/wk)

Required Qualifications:

Technical diploma, Associate's degree, 2 years of college course work; and 1 year experience OR High School diploma and 3 years experience.
