Essential functions of this position:
Performs manual labor in support of landscaping and grounds maintenance to include new landscaping, edging, pruning, mowing, general manicuring of all campus areas. Performs parking lot maintenance (i.e. filling potholes, removing debris), trash pick-up and other associated duties as determined by supervisor or administration.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Working knowledge of basic landscape maintenance
Ability to operate large and small equipment
Ability to follow directions and learn new skills while on the job
Certifications or licensure required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Valid NC Driver’s License
Recruitment Range: $23,738 - $24,000
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 50
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Months Per Year: 12 Months
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 6:00AM - 3:30PM
