The Program Manager for Clinical Placement at the Charlotte Campus will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the clinical operations of the School of Nursing, with primary focus on the placement of students for clinical and practicum educational experiences for the Charlotte Campus. Key responsibilities include clinical placement database administration and management, creation and maintenance of a comprehensive clinical course communications infrastructure, and coordination of preceptor development functions. This position will serve as the main contact within and outside the School for Charlotte nursing clinical placements and will require operation at several different levels in order to establish and maintain smooth program and departmental operations.
This position at the Charlotte, NC campus is externally funded. Duration of this position is contingent upon the continued availability of funding at its current financial level.
Bachelor’s degree with experience in healthcare-related field preferred or equivalent education and experience that includes 2-3 years prior administrative experience in nursing education or health care agency. Must demonstrate advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Experience and exposure to multiple applications including, but not limited to, databases and other computer systems strongly desired. Experience with E-Value system a plus. Should possess excellent communications skills, including verbal and written with editing experience. Must demonstrate well-developed skills related to organizing, prioritizing, and delegating as appropriate. Must possess exemplary customer service orientation with both internal and external customers. Due to the varying levels at which this role must operate, self-direction, flexibility, a hands-on approach, and the ability to manage several initiatives and tasks simultaneously are critical for success.
