JOB SUMMARY:

The Fiscal Technician conducts fiscal duties on behalf of the department. Operates under the guidance of the Operations Manager and/or Department Chair and/or Department Accountant. Performs additional duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - PCard Liaison
Serves as department's primary PCard liaison. Communicate with staff and faculty to obtain necessary backup ahead of university deadlines. Compile and upload receipts from departmental card holders. Allocate charges to appropriate account and project codes. Reconcile monthly statement for each card. Communicate student travel charges with International Employment. Assist employees with PCard application process. Compile and upload backup for all grant (Fund 20) purchases.

35% - Essential - Financial Administrative Support
Pays all recurring and individual bills on behalf of the department. Creates requisitions through BuyWays, including direct purchases, payment request forms, procurement certifications, and sole sources. Release requisitions created by other staff/faculty members. Completes faculty, staff, student, and non-employee reimbursements (general and travel). Completes desktop deposits. Serves as primary point of contact with main campus and outside vendors for items related to provided financial services.

10% - Essential - Reception
Greet and sign-in visitors and help direct to appropriate location. Check mail and sort into appropriate staff and faculty mailboxes. Manage received packages and notify recipients. Ensure lobby lights and TV monitors are powered on and off daily.

10% - Essential - Department Support
Supports department in necessary capacity based on work flow, vacancies, or other direction from Department Chair and/or Operations Manager. Assists in coordination and execution of departmental events, and serves on various committees as needed.

5% - Essential - Web lnvoices/lDOs
Tracks and completes web invoices for external billing and IDOs for internal billing mechanisms for the department. May confer with internal and external customers for data confirmation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma and experience in entry-level accounting or bookkeeping. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 04 ($ 26,988.00 - $ 31,000.00)
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Employees who are in time limited positions will earn one and one-quarter days of Annual and Sick Leave per month for a total of thirty (30) days per year. Eligible part-timers will earn days on a pro rata basis.
WORK SCHEDULE:

BENEFITS INFORMATION:
