Position Summary: The Senior Associate Director of Career & Leadership for EMBA, MBA@UNC & Alumni will lead the development and administration of various career and leadership services provided to the working professional MBA student population and alumni at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. The 1,200+ working professional MBA student population is made up of students in the Evening MBA, Weekend MBA, Global OneMBA, and MBA@UNC online program, and the 36,000+ alumni population includes alumni from the UNC Kenan-Flagler BSBA, MBA, MAC and PhD programs. The Senior Associate Director will lead the team that will research, plan, develop, and deliver / implement career management curriculum in both face-to-face and on-line platforms. In addition, the Senior Associate Director will lead the team that provides one-on-one coaching to working professional MBA students and UNC Kenan-Flagler alumni, focused on both career management and leadership development. The Senior Associate Director will personally provide one-on-one coaching to MBA@UNC students and potentially other working professional populations. The position will report to the Executive Director of Career & Leadership for MBA & Alumni. The position will lead a team of EHRA (Exempt from the State Human Resources Act) employees. The Senior Associate Director will partner closely with the other managers within the Career & Leadership department, as well as numerous key departments across the School, like Business Partnerships, MBA Student Engagement, MBA Admissions, Kenan Centers and others.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required with 5 years of work experience; master's degree in business or related field is preferred.
Qualification and Experience: Candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a corporate or graduate academic setting. Critical skills include: the ability to build internal and external relationships with broad constituencies; a demonstrated commitment to customer service; and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. The candidate must have strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills, and be able to lead and communicate effectively with a diverse population of high-performing individuals. The successful applicant will have a strong comfort level working in a fast-paced, energetic environment, and able to multitask and meet multiple deadlines. Candidate must also demonstrate initiative as well as project or event management skills, possess an entrepreneurial orientation, and have a proven track record of achievement. Previous people management experience is preferred, to build credibility with the working professional student and alumni population. Experience with coaching/managing MBAs and executives in the industry, advising working professional MBA students one-on-one, career mapping, program management, corporate recruiting, facilitation or training is helpful. Certifications to provide debrief coaching on various assessment tools, such as Career Leader, Strengths Finder 2.0 / Strengths-Based Leadership, or CCL Benchmarks, preferred.
