Nurse Practitioner II

Under general direction of the UC Irvine Hospitalist Program Executive Director, the Nurse Practitioner II performs operational level duties for Hospitalist Program patients Provide support for the Hospitalist Program inpatient and outpatient services.
Conducts in-depth interviews with patient and/or family, constructs comprehensive medical histories, performs initial and periodic medical exams, evaluates patient signs and/or symptoms, directly performs or orders diagnostic studies and interprets completed results, and develops and implements long and short-range treatment plans. Provides patient counseling, assists with patient follow up care. Serves as a resource to Hospitalist faculty and auxiliary staff. Utilizes EMR to document all encounters and bill appropriately.
The Nurse Practitioner II will also be expected to participate in educational activities for all levels of staff, and trainees. Salary: Hourly $59.03 - $81.03
Total Hours: **12 Hour shifts (6am -6pm and/or 6pm-6am) These positions provide 24/7 coverage which may include weekend, overnights, and holidays.
