The Board of Trustees of the University of Mount Olive (UMO) invites applications for the position of President, to begin July 1, 2018 or soon thereafter.

UMO is a private liberal arts institution located in Mount Olive, North Carolina, sponsored by the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists. UMO's major focus is to serve students and communities in North Carolina by providing quality personalized, values-based learning within the liberal arts tradition. The University is a complex organization: in addition to the main campus in Mount Olive, the University offers adult education programs at locations throughout eastern North Carolina and online undergraduate and graduate classes. The institution has grown and evolved its academic programs and has diversified its enrollment by increasingly recruiting students from outside of the region, the state, and internationally. These creative initiatives have put the University on the map as one of the leading private colleges in North Carolina for more than half a century.

An advanced degree in the candidate's field is required, with a strong preference for a significant track record of leadership in higher education.
