In this role, you will work closely with writers, instructional designers, media designers and subject-matter experts to design, develop and augment the usability and interactivity of SCAD eLearning courses. In collaboration with the media design team, you will research, develop and test new interactive features and experiences. Successful candidates will have experience in interaction and functional design of digital environments and products, leading design production and working in cross-disciplinary teams. You should have a minimum of five years of design experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Experience with at least one learning management system, preferably Blackboard, and familiarity with instructional design principles are preferred. You should have a strong portfolio of work that includes all areas of usability experience, engineering and design; prototype development for user testing; and ergonomics analyses, from flows, wireframes and documentation to final graphical display. Familiarity with source code versioning systems such as Git as well as the ability to develop and maintain custom dynamic data visualization systems are essential.

⎯ Bachelor’s degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, computer science or a related field; master’s degree preferred
