Position Summary: The candidate responsibilities include conducting and publishing academic research in high quality journals, generating external research funding, teaching courses in the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs and engaging in service at a level commensurate with the level of faculty appointment.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama invites applications for two tenure track or tenured faculty positions in Applied Statistics, at the Associate or Full Professor level, with an expected start date of August 16, 2018 (requests for a later start date will be considered). Successful candidates are expected to conduct independent research in statistics that leads to publication in high quality journals and/or external research funding. Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Statistics or a closely related field. Experienced Assistant Professors eligible for promotion to Associate Professor will be considered. Applicants should have an established record of publication in leading journals. Applicants with experience with or potential for obtaining extramural funding are encouraged to apply. Candidates with research interests in data science, networks, statistical learning, or computational and Bayesian methods are strongly encouraged to apply.
