The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenured appointment in the Economic Analysis and Policy area with a specialty in Health Economics. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate or Full Professor and will commence July 1, 2018. The successful candidate will also be appointed as the Named Chair/Professor in Health Economics (name yet to be confirmed). The Named Chair will be if appointed at the rank of Full Professor with the Named Professorship at the Associate Professor rank.

The successful candidate must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Economics, demonstrated excellence in research in the field of Health Economics or a closely related field of Economics using the methods of applied microeconomics, and excellence in teaching. They will be expected to have conducted innovative research at the highest international level, and have an outstanding ongoing research program. The position comes with undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities, including courses in microeconomics and health economics. The appointment includes external engagement, including engagement with policy makers.

Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research of the highest international caliber, demonstrated by significant and sustained contributions to top international field relevant literature, presentations at significant conferences, and strong recommendations by referees of high international standing. Further support can be provided by other academic accolades or awards, including external funding.

Excellence in teaching can be demonstrated by a teaching dossier submitted as part of the application, as well as strong endorsements from referees, and strong communication and expository skills as evidenced by the working papers submitted as part of the application.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
