Position Summary	
The Summer Conferences Coordinator Intern serves in the Office of Event Management. This position includes providing/overseeing staff development, customer service, hands-on event facilitation, event management, and work with other campus departments. The position requires undergraduate staff supervision and responsibilities on evenings and weekends.
In addition, the intern will aid Conference Assistants with day-to-day physical tasks, coordinate staff schedules, perform administrative planning duties, work directly with University and non-University clients, work closely with the Housing Intern, and perform other duties as assigned. Timeline for the position is May 21 through August 10.

Required Qualifications	
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Highly detail-oriented and able to handle many "moving pieces" of events. Proven ability to foster a positive team environment. Ability to learn quickly, ability to rapidly problem-solve efficiently and creatively, and readiness to work irregular hours are necessities for success in this position.
Education
Bachelor's degree required. Must be a currently enrolled graduate student. Experience
Experience managing others required.
Physical Demand
Normal office environment with frequent use of email and Microsoft Office Suite
Regular light-to-heavy lifting. Frequent walking and standing. Physical labor and some moderate lifting is required.

Preferred Qualifications	
Education
Student Affairs program of study strongly preferred.
Experience
Experience in event or project management preferred.
