Farmer School of Business:  Academic Advisor (multiple positions) with primary responsibilities in advising undergraduate business students; provide individual academic advising and assist in academic planning and decision making; make referrals to appropriate resources and offices; initiate outreach programs for academically at-risk students; explore new advising initiatives; represent School to prospective students and families; assist with open houses and other recruitment initiatives; support students seeking admission to business program and orientation programs for first-year, transfer, and international students; teach First Year Experience (FYE) course.  Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and Director of Advising.  Require:  Master’s degree in related field; one or more years of advising experience (including experience gained during an educational program) in a university or college setting in academic, career, study abroad and/or related areas; excellent written and oral communication (including public speaking), organizational, technological, and collaborative skills.  Desire:   The Master’s degree in counseling or college student personnel; experience in working with international students (advising, programming, etc.); personal experience of having worked or studied abroad; proficiency in a non-English language.  Submit:  cover letter, resume and list of three references to  Inquiries can be directed to Marti Kyger at Review of applications will begin on March 1, 2018 and continues until positions are filled.
