JOB SUMMARY:

Directs a wide range of complex and confidential administrative tasks for the University President and Vice President and Chief of Staff. Works closely with the Vice President and Chief of Staff to help coordinate office operations, procedures, and resources to facilitate effectiveness and efficiency. Communicates and interacts with the senior leadership of the university, including the president, vice presidents, deans, directors and their respective staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES
:

Presidential Administrative Support: 35% - Essential

Establishes and manages the President's calendar, scheduling activities with the University community, local, national and international business community, State, Federal and local government officials. Fields meeting requests from the University community, local, national and international business community, State, Federal and local government officials. Uses independent judgement regarding the President's time. Routes requests. Handles travel arrangements for the President. Researches and compiles information for the President's use. Directs and coordinates special projects as required.

Communication Management: 35% - Essential

Executes complex and confidential administrative services for the President and Vice President and Chief of Staff, including contacts with University and other communities. Consults daily with the Vice Presidents and other senior administrators on behalf of the President concerning matters of administrative urgency. Provides oversight and coordination for the President's communications including a broad spectrum of both routine and responsive correspondence.

Relationship Management: 20% - Essential

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with various constituencies responding to inquiries for the President's Office from the University community, local, national and international business community, State, Federal and local government officials, resolving complaints or problems. Interprets policies and program requirements when resolving complaints or problems. Routes complaints.

Fiscal Management: 10% - Essential

Works with the Vice President and Chief of staff to provide coordination of personnel, budgetary and financial planning of the president's office including all expense management, budgeting, project funding, and compliance in conjunction with appropriate financial policies. This includes ordering equipment and supplies, managing and monitoring service levels, invoice reconciliation and addressing unsatisfactory vendor services as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
:

A bachelor's degree and experience in public administration, business administration, planning or public relations.

Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.
