Position Summary: The University of Georgia Division of Marketing & Communications is looking for a tech-savvy digital marketing/social media coordinator to execute digital marketing campaigns and manage content posting and engagement for UGA's social media channels. This position will be responsible for contributing to the University of Georgia's digital presence online including social media and digital advertising. You will manage day to day duties, make content updates, curate the editorial calendar, draft social and ad copy, drive SEO initiatives, and implement campaigns across various digital platforms. You should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, possess excellent writing and proofreading skills as well as strategic and researching skills, enjoy working both independently and collaboratively, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.

Responsibilities: * Support Adwords, SEO, including Google AdWords and social media ad management. * Create, curate and schedule engaging content for UGA brand social media accounts. * Oversee monthly social media calendar creation for each channel and post daily to each social media channel * Participate in and provide social media coverage of campus events and other storytelling opportunities. * Monitor social channels for community engagement and conversation opportunities; Join the conversation in social media through outreach and responses. Respond appropriately to follower comments and messages. * Participate in social media duties during emergency communications situation * Create engaging social media content that fits with the UGA social media strategy.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or a related field. Three years of relevant work experience in marketing/communications/public relations with at least two years specifically in social media/networking.
