Director, Alumni Relations
Temple University is seeking a Director of Alumni Relations for their School of Pharmacy. The candidate for this role will initiate, build, enhance, and maintain communications among alumni, external and internal constituents. They will create awareness and increase visibility of the School's research and academic activities/accomplishments. The incumbent will also organize special events to build unity and establish relationships with alumni who are prospective donors. The individual will act as a liaison among University Departments/Management, Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Corporations to communicate activities and special events. They will also inform external contacts about the financial needs of the School and our students. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree with at least 6 years experience in alumni affairs and fund raising in a health professions environment (preferably pharmacy). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: * Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with MS Office Suite or comparable software programs. * Demonstrated ability to utilize a variety of social media platforms and web-based communications, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn in order to manage the social media strategy. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including excellent listening skills. * Excellent interpersonal, customer service and collaborative skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a diverse constituent population. * Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects and tasks concurrently. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Must possess a results-oriented attitude. * Ability to work evening and weekend hours, as needed. * Ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally, as needed.
