Associate Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life

Position Summary

The Fraternity and Sorority Life is part of the area Student Engagement. This area is the centralized hub for student resources and activities at the University of Denver. It encompasses:

  • Student Activities and Leadership
  • Orientation
  • Center for Multicultural Excellence (CME)
  • Volunteers In Partnership (VIP)
  • University Chaplain
  • Veterans Services

Each of these offices supports the student experience by providing unique programs, services and facilities designed to foster student development and help students find their passion and purpose. This position will require some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs or related field.
  • 3 years post-Master's degree experience advising fraternities/sororities.
  • 3 years post-Master's degree with experience in higher education developing and implementing student-focused programs.
  • 3 years post-Master's degree supervising graduate and undergraduate student staff.
  • Proven experiences with student leadership development, creating inclusive excellence within programming efforts and relationship building with faculty.
  • Experience with StarRez housing system for Greek housing.
  • Experience integrating NPC, IFC, NPHC and MGC organizations to work collaboratively on a college or university campus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to embedding principles of diversity, equity and inclusion into job responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs or related field.
  • 5+ years post-Master's degree in advising fraternities/sororities, student organizations or related.
  • 5+ years post-Master's degree supervising full-time staff in Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Activities and other related areas.
  • Two years managing Fraternity and Sorority housing placements including crisis intervention and auditing housing processes.
