Job Description:
Within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, this position assists in the development and maintenance of recruitment materials, helps with the Admissions website management, social media for Undergraduate Admissions and campaign/communication flow planning. Additional responsibilities include identifying, recruiting, and enrolling prospective students through extensive travel to Texas high schools and two-year colleges within an assigned territory; counseling prospective students and families in the college selection process. This includes assisting with university programming (campus visit days, bus trips and information sessions); reading admission files and making admission decisions; extensive contact and collaboration with high school and community college students, high school counselors, college advisors, university alumni and other community organizations; evaluating academic credentials; communicating admission decisions; assisting faculty and other departments in recruitment efforts; and completing other duties as assigned. Some evening, overnight and/or weekend work is required.

Job Duties:
Responsibilities include assisting with the editing and development of recruitment publications; maintaining and developing social media outreach; and assisting with the planning of the Undergraduate Admissions communication flow. Additional duties include extensive travel within Texas to recruit new freshman and transfer students; counseling prospective students and parents; evaluating academic credentials; communicating admission decisions; implementing on- and off- campus recruitment programs; preparing correspondence and statistical reports; assisting faculty and other departments in recruitment efforts and other duties as assigned. Some evening, overnight and/or weekend work is required.

Additional Information to Applicants:
Must have, or be able to obtain within 90 days of hiring, a valid Texas driver's license and be a driver in good standing with less than ten (10) points deducted for driving infractions as determined by the Texas State University driving standards system. A driving record check will be performed on the selected applicant.
