Associate Director of International Student Admission

Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Associate Director of International Student Admission.

Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, this position is responsible for the research, development, and implementation of an international student recruitment plan, and manages the international student admission process.  This includes international travel; communicating with prospective international students; building and maintaining relationships with international secondary schools and organizations, as well as others; managing the international recruitment budget; and assisting the Office of Admission with general activities.

Successful applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, experience developing marketing strategies for international recruitment, experience in quantifiable analysis methods used to evaluate the success of international recruitment efforts, and familiarity with global trends in international education.Candidates must also have demonstrated success working with diverse populations; commitment to enrolling a diverse student body; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.Applicants must also have abilities to research and complete international credit evaluations using resources such as AACRAO EDGE (American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers Electronic Database for Global Education); articulate the benefits and unique experiences of a liberal arts institution for women; work independently, as well as a member of a team; travel domestically and internationally by ground and air for a few weeks at a time; and work evenings and weekends.  Additionally, applicants must have valid documentation for international travel and a valid driver’s license with minimal violations.  Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree in a field related to higher education, five to seven years of international admission experience, and familiarity with Technolutions Slate CRM.  Final candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle background check.
