Adjunct faculty needed to teach the following courses:

History 103, American History – This general education course examines basic themes in the history of America from British colonization to the present. It focuses on the development of American identities, developments in American society, and expressions of American culture.

History 104, Western Civilization – This general education course examines the history of Europe from the Renaissance to the present. It focuses on the shaping of cultural power of classical and Christian traditions, the interaction between the West and the world, and the development of diverse secular ideologies in the modern world.

History 250, History of Chicago – This course examines the history of Chicago from early settlement to the present. The course focuses on the developing metropolis, the changing economy; social institutions; the plurality of peoples; and the impact on and effect of regional, national, and global forces.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in history required. Teaching experience preferred. Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education in the tradition of Reformed Christian higher education and be competent to demonstrate to students a mature articulation of faith and learning.
