The Department of Communication at Curry College invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate professor, based on appropriate academic experience, to begin in Fall 2018.
Responsibilities include teaching 3-4 courses per semester, including Principles of Public Relations, Publicity Techniques/Writing, and Crisis Communication. Candidates should also have demonstrable experience in strategic communication, social media analytics, and/or agency operations.
In addition, the professor will oversee the management and growth of the department’s public relations concentration, with an emphasis on internships, and maintain an active research/professional agenda.
Candidates should have 3 or more years of substantive experience in public relations or strategic communication, and evidence of teaching excellence at the collegiate level.
Ph.D. in a public relations, strategic communication, organizational behavior, or advertising preferred. Graduate degree with considerable teaching experience and outstanding professional experience considered.

Faculty participate in academic advising, student mentoring, and the facilitation of internship opportunities. Preference will be given to those with experience advising and supporting student-operated clubs, namely a PRSA chapter.
