Job description

Duties: The International Studies Program Manager supports the academic program activities for the M.A. in International Studies through the management of academic records and courses in the International Studies curriculum. The Program Manager audits student records to ensure satisfaction of course and degree requirements and identifies related areas to address with the Institute's Directors. The position is expected to schedule courses and register students for SAS courses as well as provide some editorial support, including creating website content based on Institute activities. In addition, this position manages course logistics in the Global Program and designated International Studies courses. The incumbent may be requested to staff a limited number of off-campus programs in domestic and international locations.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of working experience in university administration; or equivalent combination of experience and education. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and excellent communication skills and is detail-oriented and self-motivated. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students, and problem-solve are critical abilities for this position. Knowledge of existing University systems such as SRS, Advisor in Touch, and scheduling as well as interest in instructional technology is preferred. Ability to work some occasional evenings and staff periodic off-campus academic programs in domestic and international locations is highly desirable.
