Advertised Job Summary: - Assist Dean with administration of the library by maintaining appointment calendar, files, and correspondence for the Dean, answering and forwarding telephone calls. - Initiates and follows through for all purchases (supplies, equipment, contracts, etc.) by identifying and interfacing with vendors; obtaining price comparisons and quotes and procuring written quotes when necessary. Maintain all files to track purchases from initial request to completion. This also includes final payment for all library materials such as books, journals, databases, etc. - Maintains all library budget accounts including those for the library in the USC Upstate Foundation. - Assists other library faculty and staff with regard to travel, committee meetings, and minutes. Works closely with search committees, peer review committees, and promotion and tenure committees. Assists with conferences/workshops sponsored by Library, particularly in collecting and depositing/disbursing funds collected for registration fees, etc. - Maintain all library personnel files including working with the HR PeopleSoft Hiring System. - Serves as first point of contact for equipment (microfilm reader/printers, etc.) maintenance and repairs. Collaborates with circulation and computer lab staff to resolve problems with computers, multi-function printers, and telephones.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree with 3 years administrative experience OR high school diploma and 7 years relevant experience. Successful background check is required.
