Responsibilities * Teach undergraduate and some graduate courses in elementary education * Advise students * Supervise practica and internship experiences * Collaborate in ongoing evolution of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs * Provide service within the University, to state and local education agencies, and to relevant professional organizations * Serve on student and faculty committees * Collaborate with local schools and school systems Minimum Qualifications * Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction * 3 years minimum teaching experience in elementary education * Evidence of scholarly potential * Ability to teach courses in elementary education * Ability to supervise students in elementary education internship and practica * Ability to integrate technology into instruction including web-assisted and other alternative delivery models * Ability to teach with a multicultural perspective Preferred Requirements * Experience and expertise in literacy * Expertise in children's literature * Ability to integrate inclusion concepts into instruction * Experience with ESL populations * Experience working in collaborative settings Further information about the program and college is accessible at www.education.ua.edu.
