Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science
The Department of Political Science at Allegheny College invites applicants for a one-year position with possible second-year renewal beginning August of 2018. The Department seeks a dynamic teacher and scholar focused on American Politics.
Ph.D. at the time of appointment is preferred. Teaching load includes three courses per semester. All faculty are expected to participate in delivering college-wide freshman/sophomore seminars that emphasize writing and speaking. Allegheny College is a highly selective private liberal arts college in NW Pennsylvania with an increasingly diverse student body and a dedicated faculty of teacher-scholars. Candidates with experience or interest in teaching students from traditionally underrepresented groups are especially welcome to apply.
