Nature of Work

The School of Business and Public Management (SBPM) of the College of Coastal Georgia is seeking applications for a faculty position in hospitality and tourism management. The successful candidate will have experience teaching across many areas of hospitality and tourism. Publication is expected. This is a tenure-track, 10 month academic year appointment. The position is contingent on funding. Summer teaching is optional.

Essential Duties

The candidate will teach (12 hours per semester), advise students, and work within faculty governance. Publication is expected. Several components of the College’s strategic plan are built around extensive student engagement.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

The successful candidate will have earned a Ph.D. or other terminal degree related to the field from a regionally accredited college or university and must have a record of teaching excellence as seen in teaching evaluations or other documentation. Also, the successful candidate must have a record of work experience in the hospitality/tourism industry. ABD candidates may also apply if it is expected that the degree will be awarded by the end of 2018.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

A PhD is preferred. Experience in on-line teaching is desirable.
