Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Office of Academic Affairs seeks to enrich the academic success, engagement, opportunities, and skills of undergraduate students in the College of Engineering at NC State University by supporting a diverse learning environment that is respectful of 21st century engineering challenges. We promote the engineering profession and an understanding of engineering concepts and habits of mind among a broad set of constituents.
Essential Job Duties: The lecturer will be expected to teach general engineering courses such as E101, E102, E122, E144, E145, E201 and E490; and any other courses as developed. The anticipated salary for a 1 credit hour course will be $3,000 and $1,000 for each additional section of that course. Salary will be commensurate with assignment and education.
Minimum Education/Experience: -Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent or if still a students a BS degree in Engineering from an accredited university and 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline. - Or qualify as determined by SACS requirements
Department Required Skills: Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of diverse audiences
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: - University teaching experience is preferred. - 1+ years experience in an Engineering field.
