Visiting Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas Wesleyan University invites applications for a visiting position in Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2018.   This position will be for a one-year replacement ending in May 2019.

Primary teaching responsibilities (five course sections per semester) include Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry I and II, and a general education physical science course. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to stay current in developments in the field of organic chemistry. Other requirements include student mentorship/advising and service to the University community. 

Position requirements include a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field with an emphasis in the areas of Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry. Preference will be given to candidates who have college-level teaching experience and/or experience utilizing active learning techniques.
