Job description

Advancement Services Specialist in the University Advancement and Development Office will need to master the day-to-day operations of the three main areas of the Advancement Services Unit which includes prospect research and management, database management and data integrity, and gift processing functions.

Performs a variety of professional and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of a function, program, and/or dept; assists in program planning & development; interpret, monitor, & analyze information regarding operating policies & procedures; administers budgets; & coordinate academic and/or staff personnel matters. Performs professional administrative support duties; not a secretarial position.

Minimum starting hourly rate: $18.51/hr

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience OR a High School diploma and 3 years of college coursework and 7 years of related experience OR High School diploma and 10 years.

Desired Qualifications: Position requires intermediate sills with a constituent relationship management database; advanced skills handling and manipulating large data sets in MS Excel; advanced research and organizational skills; experience and/or familiarity with non-profit fundraising; and excellent communication skills both oral and written. Position will also need experience with iWave Pro, ResearchPoint, or other research software programs, and a working knowledge of IRS Rules and Regulations concerning charitable gifts as well as CASE Management Reporting Standards. Experience with Raiser's Edge software preferred. Experience with NetCommunity software, Import-O-Matic software, including profile writing, a plus. Experience with business intelligence software also a plus.
