A postdoctoral or more senior research associate position is available in the Princeton Nanoscale Microscopy Laboratory (PNML) under the direction of Professor Ali Yazdani in the Department of Physics at Princeton University. The successful candidate will participate in the research activities of the lab with graduate and undergraduate students as well as other postdoctoral scientists. The candidate will be involved in the design and construction of a dilution fridge scanning tunneling microcopy (STM) system and its use in a variety of research projects. In addition, the candidate is expected to participate in laboratory support roles such as maintaining cryogenic equipment, including He liquefier, and design of STM electronics for advancing the experimental program. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and funding. This position is subject to the University's background check policy. The successful candidate must have a doctorate degree in Physics or related discipline and shall have experience with design and operation of low temperature scanning tunneling microscope (STM) systems and associated electronics.
