TELEVISION & RADIO - RADIO OPERATIONS INSTRUCTOR
PERFORMING AND COMMUNICATION ARTS DIVISION
TENURE-TRACK (10 MONTHS)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years of experience

    OR

  • Associate's degree AND six (6) years of experience

    OR

  • A valid California Community College Instructor Credential

    OR

  • The equivalent.

    Degree must be shown as conferred on transcript. Some degrees may require equivalency. It is the applicant's responsibility to provide documentation to support equivalent qualifications.

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in teaching at the community college level or its equivalent
  • Earned a degree with an operations emphasis from an accredited institution in Radio, Television, Media Arts, or Mass Communication. Master's degree desirable.
  • Broadcast engineer, A/V Specialist, or other pertinent technical certification highly desirable.
  • Two (2) or more years of successful relevant professional radio operations experience in the electronic media industry.
  • Two (2) or more years of successful teaching experience of technical radio courses in an accredited post-secondary institution. Relatively recent graduate teaching assistantships or the equivalent may be considered as experience
