Research Associate, Speech Language Pathologist and/or Early Interventionist

Position Summary: The North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities (NDCPD) @ MSU is seeking applicants to serve as a Speech-Language Pathologist and/or Early Interventionist for our Minot Infant Development Program (MIDP).

Responsibilities: The person hired for this position will be responsible for providing speech-language pathology services to families of children enrolled in MIDP using a coach and consult model. Travel will be required primarily in the Minot region. In addition, the person hired for this position may facilitate home visits based on the needs of project-enrolled children and assist parents/families as needed with techniques and information; this will be determined by the project director based on the needs of the project at time of hire.

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) along with ND licensure.  Experience in working with children, giving presentations, writing technical reports or grants, and basic research activities helpful but not necessary.  Chosen applicant must be able to handle confidential situations, demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and interact positively with clients and constituents, and be task oriented with diligent follow through. Chosen applicant must have a valid driver’s license and satisfy a criminal history background check prior to employment.
