FINANCIAL ADMIN COORD
Duties: This position executes or administers ongoing financial processes related to varied operations and programs conducted by the Wharton Marketing Department in support of its teaching, research, and educational mission.
Directly interface with faculty, staff, and students in the performance of duties which include onboarding personnel and processing payroll, using BEN Financials and other approved methods to purchase goods and services on behalf of the department, make deposits and generate payments, review and reconcile operating budgets on a monthly basis, manage faculty research accounts and process travel and expense reimbursements. Generate periodic reports for budget maintenance and in response to inquiries.
Maintain excellent records for all funding sources and related expenses.
Partner with Business Manager in communicating and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Assist with preparation of ongoing reports to Wharton F&A, periodic projections, and provide input to annual budgets, financial closing, and audit reviews.
Qualifications: An Associate's Degree or two year college equivalent is required and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience using BEN Financials, and familiarity with Penn systems is significant. Prior experience in a university setting is helpful, but not required.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. Must be an effective communicator, comfortable in a high-activity setting interacting with a diverse group of colleagues.
