Position Summary: The Division of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for a faculty member to provide clinical services for patients with cystic fibrosis and conduct research in airway biology. Duties include, but are not limited to, attending on pulmonary and critical care medicine inpatient services and conducting clinics for patients with advanced cystic fibrosis. The individual will conduct research relating to airway clearance measurement in patients with airways diseases and conduct clinical trials. The individual will submit grants to federal agencies and foundations for independent funding to support these studies.

Education Requirements: Applicants must hold an M.D. degree, be Board Eligible or Certified in Internal Medicine, and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

Qualification and Experience: Candidates must have a record of excellence in research as demonstrated through publications and skills relevant to obtaining extramural grant research and appropriate research training in airways biology as well as completion of fellowship training in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine.
