Position Summary:
Responsible for editing, researching and writing for a wide variety of internal and external communication channels including, but not limited to, media releases, press advisories, marketing collateral materials, and digital media. Develops and implements communication programs in support of LSC and campus goals and initiatives and takes part in daily implementation and project activities as needed. Fully responsible for marketing and communications, related budget planning, and resource allocation for area. Serves as a resource to colleagues on workforce and CTE programs, labor market information, and program requirements as related to military and military-affiliated student populations.

Job Functions:
Plans, develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive plan to include marketing, advertising, web and e-marketing communications for assigned college (including budgeting strategies); responsible for researching, writing, and editing for a wide variety of internal and external communication channels including, but not limited to, media releases, press advisories, marketing, collateral materials, and digital media
Assists with daily duties as needed throughout the department; may include, but is not limited to, creating a variety of publicity collateral (posters, fliers, digital media screens…et.), serving as a Photographer, drafting responses for media inquiries, and editing copy and designs for accuracy, clarity and conformity to LSC branding and style guides
May supervise employees and coordinate communications-related functions, including but not limited to e-marketing, web content, electronic notification systems, social networking and campus-wide communications; liaison between the creative services team and internal/external customers as needed
Develops and maintains standards for marketing and communications functions, ensuring adherence to LSC branding standards and guidelines
Responsible for advising various college constituents on marketing- and communications-related matters, including planning and implementation of marketing for instructional and non-instructional programs
Manages mechanisms to gather feedback from students, employees and the community on college effectiveness and services
Serves as College Administrator for Web Content Management System, including editor authorizations, editor and web content training, and project management
Represents the college at the LSC Public Information Council and on various college and community groups
Serves as advisor to college Administration on marketing and communications functions
Some positions may assist with special events that may occasionally be held on night or weekends
Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned


Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
