Summary of Duties:
The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (ESFCOM) at Washington State University is embarking on the accreditation and development of a next generation medical school designed to train students to be physician leaders, who innovate, adapt and discover in an ever changing healthcare landscape. The School is now inviting applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor who will join the Nutrition and Exercise Physiology department in leading the college into the future.

The Clinical Assistant Professor will be responsible for the clinical training of dietetic students to meet the Accreditation Counsel in Education for Dietetics and Nutrition (ACEND) requirements to test for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential. The duties include training dietetic students in acute care settings, teaching graduate dietetic related courses, mentoring students, and working with the placement coordinator/graduate program coordinator to place students at additional clinical sites in consultation with CPD faculty, clinical preceptors and the Director of the CPD. The MS CPD NEP program is currently accredited to enroll 30 students per academic year.

The position will be located in an Acute Care Medical Center within the Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia, WA, combined statistical area.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent in clinical nutrition or closely related area.

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) (by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR))

Minimum three (3) years of work experience in clinical dietetics.
