Visiting Assistant Professor of Italian Studies

Job description

The Department of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at Bucknell University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Italian Studies, beginning August 2018. Requirements include a PhD in Italian Studies (preferred) or ABD, native or near-native fluency in Italian and English, evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching, and a strong interest in liberal arts education. The successful candidate is able to teach all levels of Italian language and culture as well as courses in English for majors and non-majors. The teaching load is six courses a year (three courses per semester). We are particularly interested in individuals with a strong experience in language instruction and a field of research in Italian literature or culture.
