CIB Endowed Associate Professor/Professor of Practice in Consumer Banking
Founded in 1919, AUC moved to a new 270-acre state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo in 2008. The University also operates in its historic downtown facilities, offering cultural events, graduate classes, and continuing education. Student housing is available in New Cairo. The Department of Management seeks a seasoned scholar or industry leader for the Commercial International Bank (CIB) Professorship in Consumer Banking to begin in Fall 2018. The holder of the Chair will be hired at the level of Associate/Full Professor of Practice commensurate with their experience. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, conduct academic and applied research addressing problems of the banking sector and develop programs with CIB that contribute to the development of innovative consumer banking practices in Egypt. Through teaching, seminars, panel events, and scholarly publications, the holder of the Chair will provide AUC's students and the business community with cutting-edge insights on banking.
While PhD holders from accredited universities are preferred, the primary criteria for appointment are a demonstrated record of professional impact in the field with a substantive experience in the area of banking. We seek candidates who are expected to be acknowledged as leaders in the discipline with strong teaching skills and the ability to make contributions to the profession. Publications are a plus.
