Business Manager I
Position Summary: Reporting to the Business Affairs Manager within Franklin College Dean's Office, the Business Manager I will be responsible for all aspects of finance for the unit level employees and accounts including processing personnel documents to setup, adjust, and terminate employees in a timely manner; approving hourly and salaried payroll; managing, controlling and coordinating accounting, budgeting, auditing, and other functions to ensure financial integrity. Creates and compiles statements by major classifications reflecting the previous year's actual expenditures, the current year's actual expenditures, the current year's budget, and the proposed budget for the upcoming year. In addition, the position will also audit and approve personnels and prepare budget amendments for several designated Franklin College departments. Work involves directing and coordinating the activities of business office staff engaged in preparation of budgets and personnels. This position has financial responsibility for a large, complex unit.
Responsibilities: Maintain all financial records for Dean's Office departmental accounts Process personnel documents for Dean's Office employees and manage onboarding process Responsible for hourly and salaried payroll for Dean's Office Control and manage leave records in a timely manner Maintain fiscal and budgetary records Prepare and process all purchase requests Prepare and initiate all budget amendments
Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related discipline with five to seven years of related experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
