Position Summary

This position will report directly to the Director of the Office of Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Services and will be responsible for managing and implementing evaluation projects as well as funded projects and grants within OAERS (OAERS). This work requires overseeing the day-to-day operations of projects, including involvement in project design, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Ensuring high standards of quality and managing client expectations is a key part of this work.

The position will require leading and conducting program evaluation projects, working with clients to establish the scope of work associated with program evaluation projects, designing evaluations, developing program evaluation plans, developing instruments used in conducting evaluation, collecting relevant data, conducting relevant data analysis, and writing up results. This work also will involve overseeing graduate students who will also be working on the program evaluation teams, which requires scheduling of meetings, delegating student responsibilities, and ensuring student work is of high quality and meeting the expectations of the project. Job responsibilities might also include developing and submitting proposals for grants and contracts.

Minimum Qualifications

A master's degree or equivalent degree in Program Evaluation, Assessment, Educational Psychology, or a related social science field with emphasis in program evaluation and educational research is essential. A doctorate in one of those fields is highly desired. A minimum 3 years of experience in social science research or program evaluation, some of which may be obtained as part of an educational program, is required. Experience with mixed-methods research methodologies, data management, and analysis techniques is required. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people are also required. Experience with writing and managing grants or contracts is highly desirable.

Recruitment Range $55,000 to $65,000
