Director of Digital Content

Job description

Founded in 1848, Rhodes College is a selective, private, residential, undergraduate college. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive constituent engagement program to encourage involvement and investment in the college with primary focus on digital content. The Director of Digital Content works closely with members of Development team, Communications, IT, Data Services and serves as the liaison between communications and development. Responsible for the overall development, implementation and management of digital content for the development division with the aim to engage alumni and parents in the life of the college to help achieve the college goals. Oversee development division website in conjunction with Communications. Develop and maintain current accurate information for the development website, capturing and recording accurate contact information on constituents, functional giving pages, and providing interesting content that encourages constituents to visit. Oversee all on-line community tools including Graduway and Raiser's Edge NXT Net Community Grow, ensuring fresh content and full utilization of these platforms. Develop strategy for implementation and continued utilization to connect alumni, parents and students. Research digital tools that will help further engagement with our constituents to help achieve the college's goals. Serves as a member of the Development engagement team to further division and college objectives. Serve on the communications team and collaborate with IT and Data Services as our work intersects. Position requires occasional evening and weekend work.Bachelor's degree required. Must have a minimum of five years of digital content experience preferably in education or non-profit environment. Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Must be competent in using a PC and the internet as communication tools and proficient with Microsoft Office.
