Program Director & Assistant Professor of Health Information Management

Job description

The HIM director must be a Registered Health Information Administrator with a minimum of a Master's Degree or higher required in Health Informatics, Education, Health Care or other related field. 

Teaching experience is preferred. Excellent spoken/written English communication skills and a commitment to teaching and service excellence. The position includes teaching responsibilities in BS Health Information Management, student advisement, student recruitment activities, planning/assessing courses and programs, the organization, administration, periodic review, continued development of the program and curriculum, providing service to the college/community, professional development, and other responsibilities assigned by the chair.

Position is available August 2018. Review of applications will begin March 1, 2018 and continue until the position is filled. Interviews will be scheduled after review of materials. Applicant interviews will include a teaching demonstration of a topic appropriate for undergraduate HIM students.
