Duties: Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director's primary responsibilities are to: (1) Serve as the lead analyst on assigned schoolwide and program specific projects - that will involve working with colleagues within SAS and the University and providing expertise in financials, analytics, modeling, forecasting, etc.; (2) Serve as resident expert and university liaison with regards to the data warehouse (GL, BRS, SRS, NGSS, TD, Pennant); (3) Prepare special analysis/studies/recommended solutions for the development of the schoolwide budgets/forecasts, and on an ad-hoc basis for presentation to senior leadership; (4) Advise the Director, and serve as the primary RBO liaison, on P&L related matters; (5) Play a key role in compiling the quarterly forecasts and annual all-funds budget submissions - including fund group analysis, 0-fund category analysis, data entry, etc. The Assistant Director will also participate in the detailed budget process, year-end close, and other projects as needed. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with experience in higher education that has the ability to carry out complex studies that combine a variety of data, and that also understands how to effectively communicate in an environment with competing financial and academic priorities. Sense of humor preferred!

Qualifications: A Master's Degree or more and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience using Hyperion Planning and Smartview, and knowledge of, and experience in querying, Penn's data warehouse, including: general Ledger, student data, and tuition distribution, are preferred.
