Job description

Duties: A Department of Psychology laboratory seeks a Research Specialist to assist the professor and other lab members in a variety of administrative tasks and research projects. This Research Specialist will have the opportunity to conduct independent, supervised research projects in the service of the lab's funded research topics. This involves experimental design, recruiting and running subjects, analyzing data, and presenting research. This research employs a variety of methods and techniques to collect and analyze data, including fMRI, TMS, eyetracking, and tDCS. Research topics relate to cognition and language. This position requires the successful candidate to draft and renew IRB documents, coordinating lab finances, register attendees for conferences, purchase software licenses, and complete other administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in laboratory setting is preferred. Familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office, and experience with statistics are desirable. The research project requires continuity and applicants who can make a two year commitment are preferred. This position is contingent upon funding.
