Posting Information: The School of Nursing (SON) http://nursing.wcu.edu invites qualified applicants to join a growing and well respected program. We are seeking to fill a 12-month fixed term or tenure track appointment. Rank is commensurate with experience. We are seeking candidates for the area of nurse anesthesia. Responsible for course instruction and other duties that involve classroom, clinical, project, and simulation instruction. Participates in student admission procedures. Other responsibilities include service on committees and participation in official activities of the School, College and University. WCU SON is fully accredited through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The WCU SON programs are located on the Cullowhee campus, housed in the state of the art Health Sciences building, and at the Biltmore Park instructional site in Asheville, North Carolina, with clinical sites across the region in both rural and urban settings. Responsible for course instruction and other duties that involve classroom, clinical, project, and simulation instruction. Participates in student admission procedures.
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: * Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist * A minimum of 2 years experience in the clinical setting as a CRNA * Doctorate degree in Nursing or related discipline * Licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse * Abundant interpersonal skills for the effective instruction of students and collegial collaboration with other faculty * Analytical and problem-solving skills essential for coordinating student didactic and clinical activities
