Principal Parking Supervisor/Guest Services

This position is only available to current UCI employees.

Under the general supervision of the Guest and Event Services Assistant Director, the incumbent manages a wide-range of managerial, operational, and administrative responsibilities. The field supervisor oversees the sell of parking permits for approximately 13,000 parking spaces; provides campus information and directions to students, faculty, staff, and visitors; monitors standardized sign placement for daily events; manages daily traffic control for approximately 9,000 commuters; and annually performs 900 motorist assists and 4,000 campus area patrols. The field supervisor assists the division manager with strategic and budgetary planning, data analysis and research, personnel management, and program evaluation. Additional responsibilities include: providing supervision, direction, and training to 150+ part-time student employees in a manner that promotes teamwork and enhances employee satisfaction, and responding effectively to customer complaints and concerns.
The candidate should have demonstrated supervisory experience and a customer-friendly manner. The incumbent may be assigned special projects and other duties as necessary based on staffing levels and operational needs; therefore, they must have the ability to juggle multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and be capable of communicating with a myriad of campus constituents.

Salary: Range $49,226.00 - $50,182.00
Total Hours: 100-1200am, Wed - Sat
Career Position.
The final candidate will be subject to a background check.
The incumbent must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license.
The incumbent will be enrolled in California DMV Employer Pull Notice (EPN) Program.
The incumbent must be able to work outdoors, year-round, and in all weather conditions.
The incumbent must be able to work a variable 4/40 work schedule that includes nights and weekends.
